Possible Layout
I scanned my que cards/ type cards and created a grid like poster on indesign.
I really liked the outcome and the subtlety of the grid. I chose a greige colour for the background to bring out the scanned cards. This might be a good layout for the final posters.

My dad's doodles
Each one took him no more than 5 seconds, so i was imagining what he could do if he sat and concentrated on one piece. It looked so easy when he was writing, so effortless, he didn't hesitate once on a letter.
Hidden Talent
When i asked my father to participate in my Typography project, he gladly accepted.
When i saw his results i was quite surprised, his letter forms were beautiful. I was quite surprised to be honest as my father isn't in the design field, he's a business man. When i told him, he said that ever since he was a child, he would practice writing and that all his teachers loved his handwriting and encouraged him to take classes with a very famous Lebanese Typographer "Sami Makarem", but he never had the chance to. He told me that this summer, he would take me to have lessons.
He then took out papers and a pen and sat and drew out for me my name in different forms. I could see the happiness on his face, he was so comfortable, somehow he was in his element.
Sometimes i wonder why my father ended up doing Business when he has so many hidden talents in design.
I wish i had known earlier, i would have sat and learnt arabic typography from my father.
Below is a rough one he did:

A while back
When i was still back in London and working on my ideas for my Creative Type brief, i was looking at the first Type experiments i got back for some classmates. I don't know why but i compared some of them the results i came across when i wrote with my left hand.

Comparing
I was thinking about looking at the experiments between Foreigners and Arabs, comparing their approach to the letters.
Above is a test from an Arabic speaker. In this case they focused more on what they already know than what they saw in front of them. And so they didn't really pay attention to the type's form and unique attributes.
The Foriegner (my type)
Testing out the grid composition with the type examples that i collected and tested on some fellow students in London.
I like this composition more
